Who we are.

Systems That Care is a consulting, technology, and speaking practice for churches, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations. We help leaders solve real operational and technological problems — so they can focus on their mission.

Brand positioning

“We are the expert friend who actually builds the thing — not a massive agency, not a freelancer who disappears.”

Brand archetype

The Expert Insider Friend.

Someone who's been in the rooms where the work happens, knows what's broken (and why), and shows up with real tools instead of theory.

Founder

The person behind the brand

Rachel Higley.

Hi, I'm Rachel. I've spent years inside the mission-driven world — not on the outside looking in, but in the rooms where the work happens. Building systems, solving problems, and figuring out how to make things actually work for the people doing the hardest jobs with the fewest resources.

I've seen what it looks like when an organization is held together by workarounds and willpower. Spreadsheets doing the job of databases. Communication chains held together by memory. Teams burning out not because the work is too hard, but because the systems make it harder than it needs to be.

And I've seen the other side — what happens when someone takes the time to understand how an organization actually operates and builds something that fits.

“Done the work — not just studied it.”

A note on language

Why “we.

You'll notice we say “we” — not because there's a faceless team behind a logo, but because this work has never been solo. “We” is me and my clients. It's the collaborators who show up with expertise I don't have. It's the future team this brand is built to hold.

Systems That Care is designed to grow. The brand is bigger than any one person — and that's the point.
